Collecting minerals is a very nice hobby that will bring you in contact with many different people from all over the world, it will show you a bit of how the earth 'works' and ofcourse the most beautifull samples can be found. I got into it when I was small and now I'm mainly foccussing on special crystal shapes to add to my collection.

There is a lot to tell about collecting minerals, for it is a very broad hobby where you need many kinds of skills including luck.
