View crystals through a micrscope is very well possible and a nice addition to growing big crystals. The conditions under which the crystals grow can be controlled more easily and the duration of crystal growth is in general a lot shorter compared to the big ones grown in a jar or tank. You don't need as much patience and space to grow these crystals. All you need is a microscope and a solution to grow the crystals from. Put a drop of solution on a glass slide, put it underneath your microscope and see the crystals grow!
